Et jordskjelv med styrke på 6,4 rammet det østlige Indonesia mandag morgen lokal tid. Et tsunamivarsel ble sendt ut, men ble trukket tilbake etter kort tid.

Skjelvet hadde sitt episenter 171 kilometer under havbunnen i Banda-havet, mellom Øst-Timor og den indonesiske øya Maluku, ifølge det amerikanske jordskjelvsenteret USGS.
