Swedish local communities will confiscate the homes of people so that refugees can get them instead; this is proposed in a petition signed by the Member of Parliament, Maria Ferm, with the Swedish Miljöpartiet (the Environment Party). Katerina Janouch mentions the petition on her homepage.

The campaign originally concerns how Swedish local communities must now begin to buy homes for the refugees; according to the initiators of the campaign, refugees «are entitled to a flat or a house if they have several children».

They also state that the local communities must be allowed to expropriate properties owned by people with «too large houses» when their children have moved from home, before allotting funds to buy houses.

– Before allotting money for this purpose the local communities must be allowed to evacuate persons living in too large houses, for example where the children have moved out, or one partner has another house somewhere else, the campaign states.

– We must provide decent houses for the newcomers. Say no to tent camps, the conclusion reads.

The campaign is established and signed by Maria Ferm-Svensson, one of the Members of Parliament representing Miljöpartiet.

Katerina Janouch writes on her homepage that the wording in the text gives her «the willies down her back», also because the government of Löfven has promoted a proposition to alter the rules for expropriation. According to Ledarsidorna, the proposition implies that former conditions of expropriation cease, including that the owner gets a compensation of 125 per cent of market value.

– You can lose it all. Your farm, your forest, your garden. Does this sound wrong? It is! It is insane, Katerina writes.

The campaign of Maria Ferm has later been removed from the Internet.

Update 16.11.2018, at 10:10

Caroline Kling, responsible for communication with Miljöpartiet in the Parliament, writes in an e-mail to Resett that the information given by Katerina Janouch is based on a person allegedly representing Miljöpartiet.

Kling writes,

«Some unknown persons have published an erroneous campaign on a site called skrivunder.com. There, they front an extremely absurd political proposition to discredit Miljöpartiet, maybe because they find it amusing to make a fool of us? It might all be political satire; anyone reading the proposal sees that is simply cannot be true; it is too crazy. Anyway, it is signed with a false name, resembling the name of the real group leader with Miljöpartiet de Gröna in the Parliament. Also, one has invented a name for a local branch; they call themselves ‘MP i Högalid’, a non-existing local branch.»

She also writes that, «It is an alleged absurd politics which neither Miljöpartiet nor any other Swedish party conduct, ether on the right or the left wing.»

Resett has no reason to believe that Caroline Kling is not sincere in her disapproval of the opinions referred to in the original article of Katerina Janouch. Consequently, we apologize that the feature in Resett reported the opinions and ascribed them to Miljöpartiet.
